Utility Construction Update
The City would like to inform residents that contractors working on behalf of the State will be in town completing infrastructure improvements within the city rights-of-way. Any damage to yards or property resulting from this work is expected to be repaired by the contractors upon completion. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during these projects.
A crew will be working on Chism, Hatcher, Moran, and Highway 6 to install a new sewer line and loop.
In addition, a separate crew will be installing fiber-optic lines in the following areas:
- McComas Lane
- Browning Lane
- Alleyway behind Winchester Drive
- Williams Street
- South 2nd Street
- South Avenue B
- Central Street
- Jeter Street
- Refinery Road
- Roeser Street
- North Avenue A
- Railroad Street
- North 1st Street
- North Jacobs
- North Barre Street
- North 3rd Street
- North 2nd Street
- Arendt Street
- Mc Comb Street

STORM DAMAGE
Thank you all for your reporting efforts.
Unfortunately, the city/county does not meet the threshold required to qualify for state assistance. However, the city will continue its cleanup efforts by collecting limbs from roadsides and providing dumpsters for residents to dispose of debris.
